Mission

At the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ Association of New Mexico our mission is to create a competitive advantage for our members through industry education, labor relations, standards development, industry representation, and business studies.

History

The Sheet Metal Contractors National Association was established in the state of New York on October 18, 1918. The objectives of the Association set forth in the charter were to:

  • Foster and encourage the organization and continued functioning of regional, state, and local associations

  • To provide a national clearinghouse for the collection, correlation, and dissemination of information of value

  • To promote high standards of practice to provide adequate national representation in dealing with government agencies or other industry groups, other trades, and in handling industrial relations

  • To institute widespread and well-coordinated studies of present and future problems’ and to generally protect and promote the welfare of our industry to the extent possible and permissible

Membership

SMACNA of NM is comprised of 15 highly skilled New Mexico based members who specialize in such areas as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; and Architectural and Industrial Sheet Metal, amongst other fields as well.
